Avoiding Crisis

from 9 to 5

And NO I’m not going to talk about work.

The title should really read from 9 to 5 and realistically only 2: mom you can jump up and down for joy ’cause we are NOT going to Africa.   But the shorter and much more simpler version seemed better.  Don’t ya think?

okay, so what the heck am I talking about anyhow?

Moving.  Bidding.  Our next assignment.  Where in the world we heading in 7 months.

And NO I still don’t have a freakin answer for you.

But we are getting closer.

Let’s review, shall we.

Back on November 21st I posted this about how we are down to 9 potential locations that we can be sent.  Well today A brought home the newest list of filled vacancies and we are able to eliminate a few more places.

This morning when A went to work there were 9 left on our list and then during the day he found out that this, this, this and this were filled (obviously, by someone other than A).  That left us with 5 bids.  BUT, of those 5 only 2 are realistic and while I can’t tell you what those 2 are (A’s rules, he thinks i’ll jinx the process) I can tell you that while we don’t know for sure that we won’t be going here, here or here, it’s highly highly highly unlikely.

So, there’s only 2 left.  2! 2! 2!  ONLY 2!

Don’t ask me what happens when those 2 are filled and we are left with 0 and no assignment.  That’s the point when life really begins to suck.

I really wish they’d hurry up and tell us where we are going in July.  This waiting is awful.

  3. Too bad you couldn’t get Vancouver – but wherever you choose in the end you’ll all make an adventure out of life there. I hope you are happy with the place you’ll visit next. G
